Floyd Dixon (American football)

Floyd Eugene Dixon (born April 9, 1964) is a former American football wide receiver who played seven seasons in the NFL. He spent most of his career with the Atlanta Falcons and later played for the Philadelphia Eagles. Born in Beaumont, Texas, he attended Hebert High School and played college football for Stephen F. Austin, whose team is the Lumberjacks. Dixon was drafted in 1986 in the sixth round (154th overall) by the Falcons. He played for Atlanta from 1986 to 1991, then spent 1992 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He also spent time with the Washington Redskins in 1992 as an offseason/practice squad member. In his NFL career, he had 184 receptions for 2,523 yards and 16 touchdowns.
