Fiat 525
The Fiat 525 was a luxury car built by Fiat from 1928 to 1931. It was larger than the earlier Fiat 512. A year after production began, it was updated and renamed the 525N. A sport version, the 525SS, had a more powerful engine and a shorter chassis. The 525 was offered in several body styles, including a 4‑door sedan, 2/4‑door cabriolets, and a 2‑door spider. It used a front‑engine, rear‑drive layout with a 3,739 cc straight‑six engine and a 4‑speed manual transmission. Weight ranged from about 1,450 kg to 1,900 kg, and wheelbases varied from roughly 3.00 m to 3.40 m. Fiat built about 4,400 of these cars. It followed the Fiat 512 (and 519) and was succeeded by the Fiat 524.
