Festroia International Film Festival
Festroia – Tróia International Film Festival, commonly called Festroia, was a yearly film festival in Setúbal, Portugal. It ran from 1985 to 2014. Named after the nearby Tróia Peninsula (the festival was based there until 1993), it mainly showed arthouse films from smaller or lesser-known cinemas around the world. In later years, its competition opened to films from countries that produced fewer than 30 feature films a year. The event usually took place in the first week of June, and the top prize was the Golden Dolphin for Best Film. The 30th edition was in 2014; the 2015 edition was cancelled because of budget cuts, and no further editions were held. The festival's website went offline in 2017.
