Cirsium toyoshimae was a type of thistle that lived only on the Bonin Islands near Tokyo, Japan. Described in 1919 by Gen-ichi Koidzumi, it had pale purple flowers, soft spines, and was smaller than its relative, Cirsium boninense. It grew in wooded coastal areas and is now extinct, listed as extinct on the Ministry of the Environment Red List.
