Fenghe Park
Fenghe Park is an urban park in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, located in the Zhonglu Redevelopment Zone at the intersection of Ciwen Road and Wenzhong 2nd Road. It covers about 4.8 hectares (12 acres) and blends flood control with recreation.
The park has flood detention facilities, four ecological ponds, and aquatic plants like yellow water lilies and arrowhead. It also serves as a disaster prevention and evacuation park.
There is a large open lawn of more than 30,000 square meters for games and picnics, plus walking trails, bridges, and shaded boulevards with trees such as camphor, wax apple, mango, Chionanthus virginicus, chinaberry, and flame tree. Environmental education activities are occasionally held, and public art from the 2017 Taoyuan International Driftwood Art Festival is displayed here.
The playground features sand pits, swings, balance beams, rocking equipment, and seven slides, including a huge roller slide about 20 meters high and 50 meters long, along with terrazzo slides. The open lawn is used for ball games, kite flying, and picnics. There are observation platforms and walking paths with park views.
Fenghe Park is the first park in Taoyuan City where drones are officially banned for safety and privacy reasons.
