Fazilpur, Pakistan
Fazilpur is a city in Rajanpur Tehsil, Rajanpur District, in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is part of the Dera Ghazi Khan Division.
Origins: Fazilpur and Fazil Wah Canal are named after Fazil Gujjar, who camped on the canal’s bank. Fazilpur Dhandi railway station is located here, and the Khushal Khan Khattak Express runs daily from Peshawar to Karachi through Fazilpur.
Administration: Fazilpur has a Municipal Committee (established in 1873; municipal status since 2012). It is in the NA-188 Rajanpur-II constituency. The local party is PML-N; the National Assembly member is Hafeez-ur-Rehman Dreshak. The Deputy Commissioner of Rajanpur is Shafqat Ullah Mushtaq.
