Fahai Temple Forest Park

Fahai Temple Forest Park is one of the largest public parks inside Beijing’s 6th Ring Road. It sits near Cuiwei Mountain in the Moshikou area of Shijingshan District, western Beijing. The Fahai Temple was built in 1439 during the Ming Dynasty and is famous for its well-preserved Buddhist frescoes. In 1987, the local government created a forest park around the temple. The park covers about 240 hectares and offers visitors nature, ancient architecture, rare plants, and interesting geological features. It is open all year and managed by Shijingshan District.
