Etsuji Arai (born September 4, 1957) is a former Japanese politician from the Liberal Democratic Party. He served in the House of Representatives from 2005 to 2009, representing Saitama’s 11th district. Before that, he was a member of the Saitama Prefectural Assembly from 2003 to 2005. A native of Fukaya, Saitama, he studied at Kanagawa Dental College and earned a medical license in 1984, later becoming assistant director at a Fukaya hospital in 1986. His brother is Iemitsu Arai.
