Erigeron flabellifolius, or fan-leaf fleabane, is a rare flowering plant in the daisy family. It grows in the mountains near Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, in Montana and Wyoming, at high elevations on cliffs, rock slides, and alpine meadows. This tiny perennial herb rarely grows taller than about 8 cm. Most leaves are clustered at the base of the stem and are fan-shaped, narrowing at the base and triangular or three-lobed at the tip. Each stem usually has only one flower head, which can contain up to 70 white, pink, or lavender ray florets surrounding many yellow disc florets.
