Emblemariopsis bottomei, known as the shorthead blenny or the midnight blenny, is a very small fish in the chaenopsid family. It lives on coral reefs in the western central Atlantic Ocean and can grow up to about 3 centimeters (1.2 inches) long. The species name honors Peter Bottome, though the exact person isn’t clear (possibly the Venezuelan businessman Peter Bottome Deery, 1937–2016). The IUCN lists this species as Least Concern.
