Kate Daudy (born 1970) is a British visual artist based in London. Her work crosses many forms, including installations, sculpture, film, writing, and even NFTs. She creates art that explores how people live with each other and with the natural world.

Daudy’s ideas come from a long history of writing on objects. She draws on ancient Chinese practices where poems and predictions were written on bones and shells. Today she often writes by hand on walls, fabrics, and other public spaces, using calligraphy and felt made from recycled fabric waste. Her writing aims to spark conversation and connection.

Her career includes many notable works and projects. Her first show, Written in Water (2009) in Paris, inscribed poems on vintage dresses. War Dress was commissioned by the Southbank Centre. She has collaborated with scientists such as Konstantin Novoselov (Nobel Prize in Physics, 2010) and with UNHCR on a refugee tent called Am I my brother’s keeper?, shown across Europe and the UK. Other highlights include Wonderchaos at Yorkshire Sculpture Park (2021) and The Honey Window at Columbia Paris (2023). She was named among London’s most influential people in 2019 and was chosen by Louis Vuitton in 2022 as a “visionary.” Daudy’s work continues to emphasize peace, dialogue, and human connection, often in collaboration with artists, poets, and scientists.
