Elmhurst, Victoria
Elmhurst is a small town in western Victoria, Australia, in the Pyrenees region. It sits on the Pyrenees Highway between Eversley and Amphitheatre, in the Rural City of Ararat, about 191 kilometres north-west of Melbourne. The population was 185 at the 2021 census. The headwaters of the Wimmera River begin near Elmhurst, and Mount Cole and Mount Buangor State Park lie to the south. The town’s general store has closed, but there is a small post office open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 1 pm. The Elmhurst Recreation Reserve on Green Street has public toilets, a picnic area, and a playground.
