Dishnish, Ontario
Dishnish is an unincorporated place and railway point in Legge Township, in the Unorganized North part of Algoma District, northeastern Ontario, Canada. It sits at 48°51′19″N 83°43′03″W (about 48.85528°N, 83.71750°W) and has an elevation of 327 metres. Dishnish is on the Canadian National Railway transcontinental main line, between Minnipuka to the west and Fire River to the east. It has a passing track but is not served by Via Rail’s transcontinental Canadian passenger trains. The nearby Dishnish Creek flows into the Fire River. The area’s railway line was built in 1912–1913 as part of the Canadian Northern Railway.
