Allotinus luzonensis is a butterfly belonging to the Lycaenidae family. It was described in 1967 by entomologist John Nevill Eliot. The species is found on Luzon, the main island of the Philippines. Taxonomy: Kingdom Animalia; Phylum Arthropoda; Class Insecta; Order Lepidoptera; Family Lycaenidae; Genus Allotinus; Species luzonensis. The full scientific name is Allotinus luzonensis Eliot, 1967. It was also once called Allotinus macassariensis luzonensis.
