Electoral district of Central Murchison
Central Murchison was a Western Australian Legislative Assembly electoral district from 1897 to 1901. It was named after the Murchison region and covered part of the outback. The district existed for one term because it was created for a temporary population during the Murchison gold rush. In 1898, the towns within the district included Cue, Day Dawn, Cuddingwarra, Austin, and Mainland. The district had a single member, Frederick Illingworth, a senior Opposition politician. Before the 1901 state election, Central Murchison was abolished, and Illingworth was elected for the nearby seat of Cue.
