Egas Gomes de Sousa (c. 1035 – ?) was a Portuguese noble from the County of Portugal and the first in his line to use the Sousa surname. He was Lord of the House of Sousa and of Felgueiras, and governed the region Entre Douro e Minho as captain-general. In battle he defeated the King of Tunis near Beja. He was buried in the Monastery of Pombeiro.

He was the son of Gomes Echigues and his first wife, Gontronde Moniz de Touro, daughter of Munio Moniz de Bierzo, Count of Bierzo, and Muniadona Moniz. He married a member of the Maia family (likely Gontinha Gonçalves da Maia), though there are different versions of her name and lineage. Egas had several sons, including Mem Viegas de Sousa, Gomes Viegas, and Paio Nunes de Sousa.

Tenure: 1035–? Predecessor: Sueiro Belfaguer; Successor: Mem Viegas de Sousa.
