EastSiders
EastSiders is an American dark comedy web series created by Kit Williamson. It follows Thom and Cal, a couple living in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, as they deal with infidelity, substance use, and complicated relationships. The show also tracks Kathy, Cal’s best friend, and her boyfriend Ian as they reach six months together.
Release and format
- The series began on YouTube in December 2012. The first two episodes were released there, and the rest of the season was funded through Kickstarter.
- Logo TV started streaming the series on its website in April 2013.
- The second season premiered in September 2015 on Vimeo On Demand.
- The series later moved to Netflix, with season three debuting in November 2017 and season four in December 2019.
- Episodes run 10–14 minutes in season 1 and 25–55 minutes in seasons 2–4. It was filmed in Silver Lake, Los Angeles.

Plot highlights
In season 1, Cal learns Thom has been cheating with Jeremy. Although Cal is hurt, he also cheats with Jeremy and does not tell Thom.
Reception and awards
EastSiders has earned several awards and nominations, including two Indie Series Awards, a Satellite Award nomination in 2013, a LA Weekly Web Award, and a 2016 Daytime Emmy nomination, along with multiple Indie Series Award nominations and a win for Best Ensemble – Drama.
