Eaton-under-Heywood is a small civil parish in Shropshire, England. Its population was 171 at the 2011 census. The parish gets its name from the village of Eaton, which lies beneath Wenlock Edge; it is sometimes written Eaton-under-Haywood to distinguish it from other places named Eaton. A public footpath called Jacob's Ladder climbs straight up Wenlock Edge from the village, and there is also a bridleway up the Edge. The parish includes the village of Ticklerton and the hamlets of Birtley, Harton, Hatton, Soudley and Wolverton. The nearest town is Church Stretton. The historic parish church is St Edith's. About a mile south are the earthwork remains of Middlehope Castle, a motte-and-bailey that was probably left unfinished.
