East River Plaza
East River Plaza is a shopping mall in East Harlem, New York City. It sits along the Harlem River and the FDR Drive, between East 116th and 119th Streets (near Pleasant Avenue). The mall opened on November 12, 2009 after about 15 years of planning and construction. It is developed and owned by Blumenfeld Development Group.
The complex has six levels with a connected parking garage housing about 1,248 spaces. It offers several stores and services, including major anchors Costco, Burlington Coat Factory, Target, and a Planet Fitness gym, plus other shops.
The site used to be the Washburn Wire Factory, built in 1903 and closed in 1976. Blumenfeld Development Group bought the site in 1996, construction began in 2006, and the plaza opened in 2009.
