Duo Fasano
Duo Fasano were an Italian pop vocal duo formed by twin sisters Dina Fasano (1924–1996) and Delfina Fasano (1924–2004), born in Turin. They won an EIAR audition and began performing in the early 1940s with an orchestra led by Carlo Prato. After World War II they found success with material inspired by Trio Lescano and joined Cinico Angelini’s orchestra. In 1951 they were among the first artists to perform at the inaugural Sanremo Music Festival, alongside Nilla Pizzi and Achille Togliani, and they returned to the festival four more times through 1958. In the 1960s they opened a wig workshop in their hometown, focusing on international tours and shows. In the 1970s they worked with Paolo Conte under pseudonyms.
