William H. Fry
William Henry Fry (5 February 1830 – 26 December 1929) was an English-born American wood carver and gilder of the Aesthetic Movement. He was born in Bath, Somerset, England, and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1849 to work in his father Henry L. Fry’s shop. In the 1870s, the family began teaching private woodcarving to people in Cincinnati. Many of Fry’s wood pieces are in the Cincinnati Art Museum.
