Dunuwila is a small village in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It is about 15 km north of Kandy and around 147 km east of Colombo, near Wasgamuwa National Park. The name comes from Sinhala, where "Dunu" means bow and "Wila" means lake, so it is often called the "Lake of the Bow."

According to Hindu myth linked to the Ramayana, this area is the site of the Rama-Ravana war, where Rama killed Ravana with a powerful bow at Ravana’s navel. This story is a legend and not supported by historical evidence. The village can be reached by road from Kandy.
