Dumont is a small, unincorporated community in Clear Creek County, Colorado. It sits along Clear Creek at an elevation of about 7,933 feet (2,418 meters) and has its own post office with ZIP code 80436. Dumont is part of the Downieville-Lawson-Dumont census-designated place. The Dumont Post Office opened on May 17, 1880, and the town is named after John M. Dumont, a mine operator.
