Robert MacGregor (Australian politician)
Robert MacGregor (1825–1883) was a Scottish-born Australian headmaster and politician in Victoria. He was born in Banffshire, Scotland, and studied in Edinburgh. He moved to Melbourne in 1852 and lived in Emerald Hill. He became headmaster of the South Melbourne Wesleyan day school. In 1863 he founded the South Melbourne Grammar School and served as its proprietor and headmaster. He was elected to the Victorian Legislative Assembly for Fitzroy (1877–1879) and for Emerald Hill (1880–1883).
