Bzovská Lehôtka is a small village in central Slovakia. It’s in the Zvolen District of the Banská Bystrica Region. The village sits about 422 meters above sea level and covers 6.09 square kilometers. As of 2024, about 139 people live there.

History: The village was first mentioned in records in the 16th century (around 1524) as part of Hont County. In 1786 it became part of Zólyom County in the Kingdom of Hungary, and it stayed there until Slovakia became independent in 1918. From 1939 to 1945 it was part of the Slovak Republic.

Names: In Hungarian, the village is called Bozókszabadi; until 1899 it was known as Bozók-Lehota.

Demographics: In 2021, 132 people lived there: 127 Slovaks, 2 Czechs, 4 others not specified, and 1 Rusyn. By religion in 2021: 84 Roman Catholics, 24 Evangelicals, 19 with no church affiliation, and 5 not specified.
