Edward Herman Kruse (October 22, 1918 – January 4, 2000) was an American lawyer, World War II veteran, and Democratic politician from Indiana. He was born in Fort Wayne and studied at Butler University in Indianapolis. He earned a law degree from the school that later became Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, graduating in 1942. Kruse served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945, reaching the rank of lieutenant commander. He practiced law and was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, serving Indiana’s 4th district for one term from 1949 to 1951. He did not win reelection in 1950. In 1952 he became judge of Allen County Superior Court No. 2 in Fort Wayne. He died in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2000.
