Doug Miro
Doug Miro (born January 20, 1972) is an American screenwriter and producer based in Los Angeles. He studied screenwriting at the USC School of Cinematic Arts and earned a degree in English from Stanford University.
Miro often collaborates with Carlo Bernard. Their film credits include The Great Raid (2005), The Uninvited (2009), Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2010), and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (2010). They were also hired to work on The Adventures of Tintin (2011) after Steven Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy read their work.
Early in their careers, Miro and Bernard wrote Motor City, an adaptation of the Edsel novel, and Skeletons of the Zahara: A True Story of Survival, which helped bring them to the attention of Hollywood. Spielberg and Kennedy later brought them into Tintin.
Miro is a creator and executive producer of the Netflix series Narcos and Narcos: Mexico. He is also the co-creator and co-writer (with Ingrid Escajeda) of the Netflix miniseries Griselda (2024).
