Nagyrév is a small village in central Hungary, in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County. It covers about 30 square kilometers and had around 872 residents in 2001. The village is known for the Nagyrév culture, an ancient community from the region. From 1914 to 1929, a group of women living in Nagyrév called themselves "the Angel Makers of Nagyrév" and poisoned about forty people.
