Dive Bomber, also known as Night Raider in Europe, is a combat flight simulator released in 1988 by Acme Animation for the Commodore 64. It was later ported to Atari ST, Apple II, ZX Spectrum, and MS-DOS. In the game you pilot a Grumman Avenger to search for the German battleship Bismarck. You must first learn to fly, then take off from and land on the aircraft carrier Ark Royal, and pick one of four missions by drawing straws in the opening sequence. The game features digitized sound and uses a mouse for menus and flight on the Atari ST and Amiga versions.

Dive Bomber uses multiple screens: the Pilot's Screen for flying (brake, vertical speed, artificial horizon, and torpedo release), the Engineer's Screen for choosing fuel tanks, fuel mixture, and throttle, the Navigator's Screen to view a map of enemy ships and planes, and the Tail Gunner's Screen to defend from attacks behind you. Tips for flying are in the manual. The game was rated 4.5 out of 5 stars by Dragon magazine in 1989. Later surveys by Computer Gaming World in 1991 and 1993 gave it only 0.5 out of 5, criticizing its graphics, documentation, and overall appeal.
