Roman Catholic Diocese of Maracay: The Diocese of Maracay is a Catholic territory in Maracay, Venezuela, within the ecclesiastical province of Valencia in Venezuela. It follows the Latin Rite. It covers 7,014 square kilometers and serves about 1.59 million people, of whom about 1.38 million are Catholics (87%). It was established on June 21, 1958 by Pope Pius XII, formed from the Diocese of Calabozo and the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Caracas. The cathedral is Our Lady of the Assumption Cathedral. The bishop is Enrique José Parravano Marino.
