REVERSE was an art space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, that supported new and experimental art. From 2012 to 2016 it gave opportunities to emerging, local, and international artists to create and show new work. It also ran open calls for curatorial proposals. Andrea Wolf, the artist and director, described REVERSE as a place where young curators could take risks that wouldn’t be accepted in more traditional galleries. REVERSE worked with outside curators on many exhibitions and programs, including The Impossible Project and REVERSE Open Lab. Through its Artist Community, REVERSE supported a group of artists who regularly appeared in its shows, including CHi KA, Melissa F. Clarke, Brandon Friend & Jason Douglas Griffin, Daria Irincheeva, and Alexsey Yudzon.
