Dianbai, Maoming
Dianbai District, also known as Tinpak, is an urban district of Maoming city in Guangdong Province, China. It covers about 1,855 square kilometers and has around 1.5 million people (2020). The area is in southwestern Guangdong and uses China Standard Time (UTC+8).
History: The area began as Dianbei Commandery in 528 AD during the Liang dynasty. It later became Dianbei County under Gaozhou Commandery. In the Qing dynasty, Dianbai was one of Guangdong's major ports. After the Chinese Civil War, it became part of Maoming and was promoted to an urban district. On February 23, 2014, Dianbai absorbed Maoming's former Maogang District.
