Destruction in Okayama (2014) was a New Japan Pro-Wrestling pay-per-view held on September 23, 2014, at Convex Okayama in Okayama, Japan, with about 3,600 in attendance. It was the ninth Destruction event and, since Ustream stopped PPV, the show was not available internationally. The card featured ten matches, including three title bouts, and was expanded on September 8 with two more title matches.

The action included Time Splitters (Alex Shelley and Kushida) defending the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship against El Desperado and Taichi; after the match, they were challenged by Forever Hooligans and The Young Bucks. Kazuchika Okada defended his certificate for a future IWGP Heavyweight Championship match at Wrestle Kingdom 9 against Karl Anderson. Okada had earned the certificate by winning the 2014 G1 Climax, despite two losses in the tournament (one to Anderson). The card was further expanded with two additional titles: Tencozy defended the NWA World Tag Team Championship against Manabu Nakanishi and Yuji Nagata, and Yujiro Takahashi defended the NEVER Openweight Championship against Yoshi-Hashi.

In the results, Time Splitters retained the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship by defeating Desperado and Taichi. Tencozy also retained the NWA World Tag Team Championship by defeating Nakanishi and Nagata. Takahashi defeated Yoshi-Hashi to make his first defense of the NEVER Openweight Championship, with Ishii later confronting Takahashi. In the semi-main event, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tetsuya Naito defeated A.J. Styles and Doc Gallows, with Styles accepting a challenge from Tanahashi for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. In the main event, Okada defeated Anderson to keep his Wrestle Kingdom 9 title-match certificate and then named Naito as his next challenger.
