Stafford Farm
Stafford Farm is a 100-acre farm in the Glendale area of Voorhees, New Jersey. Before the arrival of English settlers, the Leni Lenape used the land for travel. In 1773, it was settled by the son of John Stafford on nearby Short Hills Farm in Cherry Hill; John Stafford later served as George Washington’s personal guard during the Revolutionary War. The farm’s current site sits at the busy intersection of Evesham Road and White Horse Road, and the Stafford family has owned it longer than any other property in Voorhees. People can see grazing horses and cattle there, and on clear days, Standardbred race horses on a half-mile training track. Plans to build a shopping center on the property were stopped by local and state efforts to protect the land. In March 2021, Amy and Bill Green bought the property, and the farm was updated to include a winery and restaurant. Across the street on the Cherry Hill side is Holly Ravine, a shopping center and farm.
