Delaware gubernatorial elections
Table of Delaware governor election results. Since 1792, when the Delaware Constitution established popular elections, the governor has led the state’s executive branch. Governors were originally elected for three-year terms, changed to four years in 1831. Elections were held on the first Tuesday in October until 1831, then moved to the first Tuesday after November 1.
