David Wayne Edwards (born April 18, 1956) is an American golfer who played on the PGA Tour from 1979 to 2005 and now competes on the Champions Tour. He was born in Neosho, Missouri, and is the younger brother of former PGA Tour player Danny Edwards.

Edwards attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where he was a standout golfer and a first-team All-American in his junior and senior years. He helped the Cowboys win the NCAA team championships in 1976 and 1978, and he was the individual medalist in 1978.

He turned professional in 1978 after a successful fall PGA Tour Qualifying School and joined the PGA Tour in 1979. He chalked up more than 65 top-10 finishes and won four PGA Tour events, the first of which was shared with his brother. His best finish in a major was tied for third at the 1984 Masters. A notable moment came in 1987 when he scored a double eagle at Torrey Pines, reaching the 18th green with a two-driver shot in the third round.

In his late 40s, Edwards split time between the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour as he prepared for the Champions Tour. He became eligible for the Champions Tour in April 2006 and won his first title that August at the 3M Championship. He lives in Edmond, Oklahoma, and is known for flying his own plane to tournaments. His PGA Tour playoff record stands at 1–1.
