Allerey
Allerey is a small farming commune in eastern France, in the Côte-d'Or department of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. It covers about 119 square kilometers and had 174 residents in 2023. The village sits at an elevation between 350 and 528 meters.
Geography: The area is mainly farmland, with the Bois de Come forest in the southeast. The Ruisseau d'Angot begins in the west and flows south to join the Nailly river. Allerey is about 40 km northwest of Beaune and 30 km north of Autun. Access is via smaller roads: the D906 runs through the western part, with D16 from the south to Arconcey, D117A from the west to Arnay-le-Duc, and D36 from Beurey-Bauguay in the north.
Administration: The mayor for 2020–2026 is Robert Feurtet. Postal code 21230; INSEE code 21009.
People and history: Inhabitants are called Alériens or Alériennes. In the Middle Ages, Allerey had a lordship and a fortified house in the village center. The Church of Saint-Pierre contains two objects listed as historical.
