Darren Clive Fichardt is a South African professional golfer born on 13 May 1975 in Pretoria and raised in Centurion, Gauteng. He turned professional in 1994 and has built a long career playing on both the European Tour and the Sunshine Tour.

He attended Sutherland High School from 1988 to 1993, where golf talent grew. Fichardt won the Sunshine Tour Order of Merit in 1999–2000 and again in 2003–04. He also represented South Africa in the World Cup in 2000 with Retief Goosen. His best year-end ranking on the European Tour Order of Merit was 39th in 2003, and his highest world ranking was 75th on 10 March 2013.

Fichardt has 25 professional wins in total: 5 on the European Tour, 18 on the Sunshine Tour, 2 on the Challenge Tour, 1 on the European Senior Tour, and 1 other win. Notable European Tour victories include the Saint-Omer Open in 2012, the Africa Open in 2013, the Joburg Open in 2017 (a weather-shortened event), and the Betway Championship on the Sunshine Tour in 2020, which marked a return to competition after the COVID-19 hiatus.

In major championships, he has competed in several events, including The Open Championship. He was named the Sunshine Tour Players’ Player of the Year in 2013 and, on the European Senior Tour, he was Rookie of the Year in 2025.

Personal life: Fichardt lives in Centurion with his wife Natasha, whom he married in 2000, and they have two children. He is 1.72 meters tall and weighs about 75 kilograms.
