Dan Starkey (born 27 September 1977) is an English actor best known for his work on the BBC One science-fiction series Doctor Who. He has played several Sontaran characters, with the most famous being Strax, who appears with the Eleventh and Twelfth Doctors, played by Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi.

In 2016, Starkey joined the CBBC sketch show Class Dismissed and appeared in 36 episodes (all of Series 1–3). He left the show after Series 3.

Starkey studied at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, earning a degree in Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic, and then trained at the Bristol Old Vic, graduating in 2006. His stage work includes the 2012 production Muswell Hill by Torben Betts at the Orange Tree Theatre, where he played the enraged loner Simon and was nominated for Best Male Performance at the 2012 Off West End Theatre Awards (Offies).

In November 2013, Starkey appeared in The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot, a 50th-anniversary comedy homage. On 2 January 2015, he was part of the winning Trinity Hall, Cambridge team on Christmas University Challenge, alongside Tom James, Emma Pooley, and Adam Mars-Jones.
