Ctenostoma rugicolle
Ctenostoma rugicolle, the rough-neck comb-mouthed beetle, is a tiger beetle found in Ecuador, Peru, and Brazil. It lives in rainforest and cloud forest environments from lowlands to mountains. Adults are about 11–12.5 mm long and shiny black. It belongs to the tiger beetle family Cicindelidae. The species was previously treated as a form of Ctenostoma batesii. Scientific name: Ctenostoma rugicolle W. Horn, 1904.
