Crash is Kehlani’s fourth studio album, released by Atlantic Records on June 21, 2024. The R&B record lasts about 42 minutes and 59 seconds and features guest appearances from Jill Scott, Young Miko, and Omah Lay. A large team of producers contributed to the project, including Dixson, Aaron Camper, Khris Riddick, Alex Goldblatt, Oak Felder, Jack Rochon, Aidan, Ant Clemons, GuiltyBeatz, Darhyl Camper, Mamii, Etienne, and others. The album follows her 2022 release Blue Water Road.

Crash was released ahead of three singles: “After Hours” (April 4, 2024), “Next 2 U” (May 31, 2024), and the title track “Crash” (June 21, 2024). A notable moment on the album is the track “What I Want,” which includes a sample from Christina Aguilera’s 1999 single “What a Girl Wants,” given with Aguilera’s approval.

The project received generally favorable reviews. Metacritic assigned a score of 73 out of 100 based on seven reviews, while AnyDecentMusic? reported an average of 6.8 out of 10 from eight reviews. Crash was also nominated for Best Progressive R&B Album at the 67th Grammy Awards.
