The Council of Schools and Services for the Blind (COSB) is a network of specialized schools in Canada and the United States. Its main goal is to improve the quality of services for children who are blind or visually impaired, including those with additional disabilities. COSB is a membership organization of schools that educate students in small groups using accessible, specialized teaching methods.

COSB schools focus on the Expanded Core Curriculum, teaching skills like Orientation and Mobility (travel and movement) and the use of Assistive Technology. These skills help students be independent and fully participate in school, at home, and in their communities.

Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), students should have a range of educational placements and the option to move between settings as their needs change. Ideally, local public schools and COSB schools work together so students can switch settings based on what they need at any time.

COSB provides a variety of services and supports, including:
- Specialized residential and day campuses
- Short- and long-term programs
- Outreach to underserved areas
- Training and networking for families
- Professional development for educators
- Development of specialized curricula and teaching practices
- Research
- Braille production
- Access to instructional materials and information about blindness
