Cornice Lake
Cornice Lake is a small glacial lake high in the White Cloud Mountains of Idaho. It’s in Custer County within the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, about 9,880 feet (3,010 meters) above sea level in the Four Lakes Basin. The lake is about 187 meters long and 80 meters wide, and its main outflow is Little Boulder Creek, which feeds the East Fork of the Salmon River. The easiest way to reach Cornice Lake is via Sawtooth National Forest trail 683. It sits just east of Patterson Peak and west of Castle and Merriam Peaks, downstream of Emerald, Rock, and Glacier Lakes and upstream of Quiet, Noisy, and Baker Lakes.
