Conygar Tower
Conygar Tower is a small circular tower in Dunster, Somerset, England. Built in 1775 as a three-storey red sandstone folly, it sits on a hill above the village and is about 18 metres tall so it can be seen from Dunster Castle on the opposite hillside. It was commissioned by Henry Luttrell and designed by Richard Phelps. The tower never had floors or a roof, and its name comes from two old words—Coney (rabbit) and Garth (garden)—suggesting it was once a rabbit warren. In 1997 the Crown Estate found cracks in the walls, which were repaired in 2000. It is a Grade II listed building.
