Concept is an Italian progressive metal band formed in 2000. It grew out of an earlier project called A.T.T. (About Traverse Tracks) and an EP released in 1999. The band was founded by Mariano Croce, Andrea Mastroianni, Gianni Carcione and David Folchitto. They released their first EP, Time Before, in 2000 and soon signed with Underground Symphony. Bassist Andrea Arcangeli joined shortly after.

Their first full-length album, Reason and Truth, was recorded starting in 2001 and released in 2003. In 2005 they issued their second album, The Divine Cage, which had been recorded in 2004. In 2004, guitarist Croce and keyboardist Mastroianni contributed as guests on Time Machine’s Inquisitor Eymerich Trilogy. Both albums were well received, but there have been no public updates about the band since 2007. Band members include Mariano Croce, Andrea Mastroianni, Gianni Carcione, Andrea Arcangeli and David Folchitto.
