Computo

Computo was an old English legal writ. Its purpose was to force a person to produce an account of money or property they held or managed. The writ could be used against people who were responsible for others’ assets—such as guardians, trustees, executors, or receivers—requiring a full disclosure of how funds were handled. It is a historical procedure and is no longer in use today.
