Commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory
The Commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) leads the Air Force’s science and technology program and other customer-funded research and development. The commander also oversees about 10,800 people across AFRL’s technology directorates, the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, and the 711th Human Performance Wing.
