Richard Harden (politician)
Major James Richard Edwards Harden OBE DSO MC (12 December 1916 – 22 October 2000), known as Richard Harden, was a Northern Irish politician and army officer. He was born in Tandragee, County Armagh, and studied at Bedford School and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. He was the Ulster Unionist MP for Armagh from a 1948 by-election until 5 November 1954, when he resigned by taking the traditional office of Steward of the Manor of Northstead, a standard way for MPs to leave Parliament.
