Chris O'Keefe (born 4 July 1981) is an Australian former journalist and radio host. He is best known for his work with Nine News as a reporter and for hosting the 2GB afternoon drive show in Sydney.

He started his career in 2008 with an internship at St George and Sutherland Shire Leader, then moved to television in 2010 with Ten News on the Gold Coast. He joined Nine News on the Gold Coast in 2012, moved to Brisbane in 2013 as a police reporter for Nine News Queensland, and returned to Sydney in 2014 as a political reporter. He also appeared on Today and was a fill-in host on A Current Affair.

When Tracy Grimshaw retired in 2022, O’Keefe was a front-runner to replace her, but in November 2022 he was announced as the new presenter of the 2GB afternoon drive program, starting permanently on 9 January 2023 after filling in during 2022.

In the lead-up to the 2023 Indigenous Voice referendum, O’Keefe supported the Yes campaign, which put him at odds with fellow 2GB host Ben Fordham. In 2024 he resigned from 2GB and left the media to start a political advocacy company; his last show aired on 13 December 2024.

Awards and recognition include: a 2014 Gold Coast Media Club award for coverage of the Broadbeach Bikie Brawl; a 2016 Walkley Award for television news reporting on a hospital incident at Bankstown; four Kennedy Awards in 2017 (Journalist of the Year, Outstanding Political Journalist, Harry Potter Award for Outstanding Television News Reporting, and Rebecca Wilson Award for Scoop of the Year); and a 2020 Kennedy Award for outstanding political journalism on the Ruby Princess.

Personal life: O’Keefe grew up in the St George area of Sydney, attended St Joseph’s Catholic School in Oatley and Waverley College (graduating in 2006). He married sports broadcaster Yvonne Sampson in October 2018 after dating for more than three years; they have a son born in March 2022.
