2022 Jakarta Film Week
The 2022 Jakarta Film Week, the festival’s second edition, took place from October 13 to 16 in Jakarta. It opened with The Ballads of Roy by Fajar Nugros and closed with Arnold Is a Model Student by Sorayos Prapapan. In-person screenings were held at CGV Grand Indonesia, Ashley Hotel, and the new Kineforum Ismail Marzuki Park, with additional online screenings on Vidio. A total of 88 films from 28 countries were shown.
New awards were introduced: the Global Animation Award for the best international animated short, and Series of the Year for the best Indonesian series produced for over‑the‑top services. The festival’s top honor, the Global Feature Award, went to Before, Now & Then, Kamila Andini’s drama. Juries were announced, and the event included a collaboration program with Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. Awards were presented at the festival’s closing.
